Collecting Moments of Self-Talk
Assalaamu'alaikum. Hi, wonderful people. I'm writing one thought that just came across my mind: moments when unconsciously we do a self-talk.
It first came out when I was hanging my little family's laundry after getting washed. At such a moment, when it goes at night, I will unconsciously think of things that happened lately and hit my mind quite strongly. And a few days ago I just realized that it is the right moment for me to think about ideas and reflect on what I've done. And then, why don't I think of other moments in which I can do that?
The underlying circumstance is when I'm all alone without any distractions. This does not sound like a big idea, but we can benefit from them when do it consistently, consciously, and seriously. Therefore, it'd be good if we start collecting moments in which we can do self-talk as well as self-reflection. Then, if you have an excellent memorization capacity, you can count on it. On the contrary, if you don't, you need a tool/device to write down the ideas coming out of the self-talk and self-reflection. So, when the ideas just camde cfIn my case, I use a tiny pocket note book and my blog. By then, I have a record of those ideas by which I can use to start taking actions. The moments whan I am on my own are:
When I hang washed laundry
When I poo in the toilet
When I walk alone
Before I go to sleep
After Subuh prayer
When I iron the laundry
